From my workshop in the Laurentians, I solve challenging
problems involving soapstone (steatite) sculptures with the eye
and hands of an artist.
I have been repairing soapstone sculptures since 1999. Many
sculptures are shipped from the farthest points of Canada and
the United States. They often arrive in many pieces or damaged,
and are returned to their owners fully restored and polished.
In many cases, missing parts are carefully reconstructed to their
original shape.
Over the years, I have restored various sculptures: dancing
bears, seals, whales, walruses, Eskimos, and others.
I also repair alabaster, marble, and similar stones.
Some sculptures are valuable for their artistic or financial
worth, while others hold great sentimental value. I devote the
same time, effort, and care to each piece. With a brief description
of the damages and size of the sculpture, I will gladly provide
an estimate or further information. My fees are very reasonable.
